About Us

Huaje Art and Craft was born from my journey from Oaxaca, Mexico to Orange County, California, and from a desire to uplift the exceptionally skilled women artisans of my hometown. Through Huaje, I share their Oaxacan pottery and intricate cotton and wool weavings, each piece carrying a story, a legacy, and the soul of Oaxaca. As an artisan myself, I understand the dedication and resilience behind every creation, and I’ve made it my mission to connect our heritage with art lovers beyond Oaxaca—so that every purchase supports their livelihoods and dreams while celebrating tradition, craftsmanship, and the indomitable spirit of these remarkable women.
