El Sabio – Burnt Clay Cup from the Sierra Mixe
Rooted in the highlands of Tlahuitoltepec, Oaxaca, El Sabio is a handmade clay cup created using centuries-old Mixe pottery traditions. Each piece is individually shaped by skilled artisans and fired over open flame, leaving natural burn patterns and a rustic, unglazed finish.
Its sculpted face design represents wisdom and community storytelling—a tribute to the elders and ancestors of the Sierra.
Use it to serve mezcal, atole, or coffee—or display it as a cultural keepsake in your space.
