Fuego Rug is handwoven on a traditional pedal loom in Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca, using hand-spun wool dyed with cochineal—a natural pigment harvested from the nopal cactus. Its deep, luminous reds and warm terracotta tones evoke the intensity of fire and the rich color traditions of Oaxacan weaving.
Rooted in the ancestral Montañitas motif, Fuego reinterprets a timeless pattern through a bold, contemporary palette. Each shade is achieved through a meticulous natural dyeing process, resulting in colors that deepen and evolve beautifully over time.
